Our pulp crunch is taking a whole new spin on granola, packing in more fibre and flavour without all the yucky stuff.

We upcycle juice pulp from Tender Love and Carrots juice bar in Bloor West Village as the main base in this crunchy topper.

Blended with oats, sunflower seeds and coconut.

Sweetened using organic ripe bananas and a touch of local organic maple syrup.

Pulp is a tricky ingredient as it is usually seen as a wasteful by-product from juicing with a very fibrous texture. We wanted to take full advantage of all this wonderous fibre and nutrients by dehydrating at low temperature till nice n' crisp into a familiar breakfast treat.

We wanted to optimize second apples that were seen as a waste product due to minor bruising or scratches. Dehydrated at low temperatures, blended up into a sweet tart bite and tossed in a fun upcycled juice pulp coconut confetti, how could you resist?

A hearty collaboration with Spend Goods toasting up their Fresh Baked Sourdough Beer Bread made from spent barley grains used in local microbreweries. Topping these light mid-day snacks with a house made whipped tofu ricotta and changing up the toppings as the seasons pass.

A savoury way to use up some local rescued greens. We blend a mix of different greens to create a flavour-packed pesto spread. Garnished with a complimenting sweet balsamic drizzle, crunchy sunflower seeds and more tender greens.
